Privacy
FishnTips has no accounts, ads or tracking. You can read everything without telling us anything.
When you report how a tip worked
We save what you chose (caught fish, got bites, or nothing) and your star rating if you gave one. To keep results honest:
- Your browser gets a random ID in a cookie (
ft_device) so each device can report once per tip per day. It isn’t used for anything else. - We store scrambled, one-way versions (hashes) of that ID and of your network address — never the address itself. They’re used to spot spam and are deleted after 30 days.
- When spam protection is on, Cloudflare Turnstile runs an invisible check that you’re not a bot. Cloudflare handles that data under its own privacy policy.
Reports can’t be edited after they’re sent — not even by us. We can only hide one, for example if it looks like spam. Public pages show totals, never who reported.
Where data lives
The site runs on Vercel and its database on Supabase. Like most websites, the hosting keeps short-lived technical logs (such as page requests) to keep the site running.
Stocking information
“Last stocked” dates come from the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources’ public fish stocking report. Nothing about you is sent to them.
